• Minor dents, bruises and scratches will be accepted on the sides, roof and rails as long as the trailer is still structurally sound and water tight.

  • Minor scrapes and gouges in the floor are acceptable as long as they do not degrade the structural integrity of the floor.

  • Minor interior plywood scrapes and cuts will be accepted except next to a post.  Any holes and plywood cuts larger than 4” in diameter are billable to the Lessee’s as damage.

  • The doors may have slight deterioration of door gaskets, scratched or scraped as long as the aluminum skin is not punctured.  If doors are dented such that the interior door blank is exposed, broken or no longer water tight, this will be considered damage.

  • Minor dents to the cross members are acceptable as long as the cross member is not cut, torn, or separated from the side clip bent downward more than 3/8”, separated from the floor of the frame or at such an angle that it may snag a tire.

  • Replacement of lights where the light body shows no trace of damage is normal wear on maintenance leases.

  • Dents and scratches are acceptable in the ICC Bumper as long as:
    • The weld securing has not been damaged
    • The step is not twisted or bent to the point of causing a safety hazard when entering the trailer.

  • Tires must be returned with 100 PSI on all tires.  Tires needing replacement due to normal wear are the responsibility of Fleet Trailer Leasing (Unless rented/leased as “Net”).  Tires damaged due to driver neglect are the responsibility of the Lessee.

  • The relining of brakes is normal wear (Unless rented/leased as “Net”).

  • Air system repairs where components show no sign of damage are normal wear (Unless rented/leased as “Net”).

  • Damage not considered normal wear will result from mishandling the trailer, improper storage, improper use in loading or transporting, improper cargo storage, etc.
